Our charity gift lists are flexible so that your entire gift list can be charity based or you can mix charitable gifts with other gifts of money.

How does a charity gift list work?

There are 3 simple ways in which you can ask for money for charity.

1. We've got gift options available for some of the UK's biggest charities such as Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, Oxfam and the RSPCA. You can add these gifts to your charity gift list at any time.
2. Select a general charity donation gift which you can then donate to the charities of your choice. These are a great choice if you're not sure which charities you want to give money to as you can make your mind up nearer the time.
3. Create your own chariity gifts. If you want to donate money to smaller charities this is a great way to customise your charity gift list with more information about your preferred charity.

If you're asking for charity donations, you can add some info to your free wedding website at Nearly Married (either on your homepage or set up a new page) to let your guests more about the charity or charities you are supporting. And you can add custom gifts which let you customise your charity gifts. For example, if you want to ask for donations towards a specific charity you can add custom gifts which have the name of the charity, description, value and a picture. The money is then paid to you so that you can distribute it to your charities as a gift aid donation which means that it is worth even more to your charities.

A Money Fee applies to gifts of money which is deducted from your final amount raised. Under our flexible fee scheme you can choose whether this is paid by your guests or shared between you and your guests instead. Please see our Terms & Conditions for couples for current charges.
