It enabled us to have a different kind of gift list (we had a honeymoon gift list) and gave us a lot of control with us being able to add our own personalised webpage’s. It was good that we could keep everyone up to date with the progress of the wedding and that any extra information about the day could be provided and found in the same place. The guests really liked the fact that we had included unique items that they could purchase and therefore know exactly which part of the honeymoon they had contributed to. We decided to use Nearly Married website after a long look at the other gift list services on the internet (usually store based)...The site let us individually create all our gifts along with including photos, this made for a very unique gift list. After the wedding we left the gift list open for the remainder of the month and within a few days of the gift list closing we received a cheque (as all our gift were monetary). Overall it was an excellent service that worked very well as a notice board for our wedding and for the management of our gift list.

We wanted honeymoon contributions for our wedding gifts but didn't want to ask for money outright. We were looking for a list that would allow us to list all the different trips etc that we wanted to do so that people could feel they were buying us something specific, but then the money would be collected on our behalf and transferred into our account for us to book the trips ourselves. We were very pleased with the service received - whenever we had a question it was always responded to very quickly and we received the transfer into our bank account exactly as advised. We have already recommended Nearly Married to friends who have recently got engaged!

I have to say because it was cash we were dealing with we did worry about the company we picked in case they folded before we got our cash and so we researched the financial position of the business and how long they had been going for and this was a big factor in using Nearlymarried.
